The Supreme Knight, Bro David Huppatz, has asked me to convey the prayers and support of the whole Order to brothers who may have been affected by the disastrous Bushfire in Victoria and the continuing floods in Queensland (particularly at Ingham).

All members are encouraged to support appeals in their own States set up to aid victims of these disasters. I have contacted the KSC Melbourne Office and offered our prayers and support. It is not known yet if any Victorian members are involved either by loss of  life or property. Inquiries are being made.

We have not received any request from Victoria for assistance, but St Vincent de Paul has established an appeal fund on its National website, www.vinnies.org.au and is accepting donations by credit card on a secure site. Receipts can be printed out and donations are tax deductible.

The Red Cross also has established an appeal for bushfire victims and donations can be made via their website www.redcross.org.au .

Likewise, we have not received any request for assistance from Queensland but we do have members in Ingham. I am awaiting advice as to any assistance that might be required.
