About Us
An Australia-wide registered charitable organisation, Southern Cross Homes is a project of the Knights of the Southern Cross, an Order of Catholic laymen fostering service and Christianity in the community.
In 1966, the Knights decided that a worthwhile community service would be the provision of accommodation for the care of aged persons.
Originally incorporated as Southern Cross Homes (WA) Inc., the Western Australian body changed its name to Southern Cross WA Aged Care (Incorporated) in June 1998 to reflect the broadening nature of its work.
Southern Cross WA Aged Care (Incorporated) operates on a non-denominational basis, providing facilities to care for the elderly in a Christian environment by professionally trained caring staff.
Southern Cross WA Aged Care (Incorporated) has always strived to preserve and nurture the individuality of each resident and also to have available the appropriate level of care for each person. This will remain the cornerstone of our activities as we accept new challenges in the constantly expanding and frequently changing field of aged care.
Practical financial support is important to the existence and continued development of Southern Cross WA Aged Care (Incorporated). New aged care facilities are required and existing services need modernising.
