at Holy Trinity Banyo at 7.00 PM. The parish meeting room is situated at 352 St
Vincent's Road BANYO which is adjacent to the church. The formal proceeding are timed to
be completed as near as possible to 9PM to allow for informal fellowship which always
follows.
Non members and casual enquirers are invited to make contact with the Branch Counsellor who
will provide additional information concerning membership requirements.
The Branch is currently undertaking a number of projects which allow us to exercise the
high ideals of the Knights of the Southern Cross, namely to be the Light of Christ to all
those with whom we meet.
Our first objective is to ensure that all eligible men are informed of these ideals and
are given the opportunity to participate in the works of the Order. We have found that we
can best achieve this by meeting with prospective candidates in their home, in the
presence of their families, to explain the Objects of the Order and to invite membership
for those who meet the limited qualification requirements. The Brothers have found that
each new member introduces fresh gifts whilst all receive fresh insights in living out the
Gospel.
We endeavour to live out the Brotherhood by caring for our members and their families with
visitation and contact with those who are sick or distressed. This is achieved by
maintaining a contact list, with the more active Brothers undertaking to keep all
informed.
The Branch offers spiritual formation and temporal support for its members through monthly
meetings, an annual retreat and other contact with each of the Brothers and their
families.
Membership of other organisations is encouraged, with the Order supporting the efforts of
the Brothers in their promotion of the Christian viewpoint.
The Branch is involved in providing support for Church activities, fetes and functions, in
letter writing in relation to questions of faith and morals and any activity which allows
us to support the truth and speak out against evil.
We have commenced work on providing the Brothers with handouts which will
assist them in helping their families, friends and acquaintances in
understanding the Church's teaching on the Catholic faith and moral
issues.
