Post-Meeting Statement

The Council of the International Alliance of Catholic Knights met in St Martin/Lofer,
Salzburgerland Austria from 21st to 25th September 2003, hosted by the Knights
of St Virgil.
The Council strongly upholds respect for life, which is assaulted by abortion,
embryo experimentation and euthanasia. All Christians need to reiterate their
commitment to the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.
The Council is deeply distressed by the persecution of Christians occurring in a
number of countries. We urge all people to stand together to support the right
of all to freedom of religion and the practice of their faith.
The Council reaffirmed its whole-hearted support for the Holy Father and the
teachings of the Catholic Church.
The meeting concluded with a Mass during which the Alliance President, Geoffrey
Renner of The Gambia, installed Niall Kennedy of Ireland as his successor.
